The Fruit of the Spirit
But the
Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
(Galatians 5:22-23)
LOVE.
God is love, and he who abides in
love abides in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16).
Love is the greatest fruit and the greatest power.
JOY. If we have the joy of God and
of His work, we will have strength and power.
"... for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (cf.
Nehemiah 8:10)
PEACE. Blessed are
the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of
God (Matthew 5:9). If someone has peace, he
has calmness. Why here and there no calmness
in our heart and we are troubled? Because
there is no peace in our heart.
LONGSUFFERING
We should have longsuffering in waiting for the day
of the Lord. If we have longsuffering, we have
stable soul life.
GENTLENESS and GOODNESS are good
attitude of children of God. We should work to
perform them.
FAITH
produce the crown. If someone has faith until
the end, he will receive the crown of eternal life.
MEEKNESS.
If someone has meekness, he has heavenly atmosphere
in himself.
TEMPERANCE means
we do not let ourselves influenced by wrong
doctrines. We want to be pure in our hearts.
